An Australia man with a a rare blood type has given blood for more than 5 decades.

In 1964, an Australian man named James Harrison learned his unique blood composition could be used to develop a vaccine for Rhesus disease. Because of his desire to make a difference that lasts, over 2 million babies have been saved from that vaccine, including his own grandson.
