Scotland from Above: Edinburgh to Fingal's Cave Route

This journey goes coast to coast across Scotland. We start in Edinburgh and fly up the Forth River visiting historic landmarks, including its famous bridge.

We then travel the lowlands to the Falkirk Wheel, the only canal boat left of it's kind.

We visit Glasgow, and move on to Faslane Naval Base, home to Britain's nuclear submarines.

We then end our journey crossing islands of the Hebrides to reach the inspirational Finglal's Cave.

China's giant glass bridge hit with sledgehammer

A 2-tonne truck was driven onto the world's longest and highest glass bridge in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province in central China, in a safety test ahead of its slated opening in July.

The 430-meter bridge tucked between two steep cliffs is 300 meters above the ground.

To further convince the public of the bridge's strength, 20 volunteers to used hammers to try to blow the glass, before an all-terrain vehicle carried 11 volunteers across the cracking glass. Another team of 10 volunteers then tried again to knock the glass.

Despite some breaks on the surface, the glass did not collapse.

The bridge is made of three layers of the tempered glass, all together 99 pieces, each of 3 by 4.5 meters and 15 mm thick. Battered pieces can be removed and changed.

The unique pillar-like mountain formation in Zhangjiajie appeared in the Hollywood blockbuster movie "Avatar." The Grand Canyon Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie received more than 1.2 million visitors from home and abroad in 2015.

Philippines – Paradise Islands & Beaches

The Philippines as we know, is made up of 7,107 islands categorized into three main geographical divisions which are Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. But all that may change, as the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) may have discovered 400 more islands in the country.
With NAMRIA’s latest discovery, the Philippines may now have more than 7,500 islands in total, since the official count of 7,107 islands in 1945 by the Gazetteer of the Philippine Islands.

SECO ISLAND, Philippines

Seco Island is in the North East of the Sulu Sea, about 50km West of Panay. It has been a destination for day tours or overnight camping for kite surfers for a couple of years. There is no infrastructure on the island.

The island is pretty much only a bunch of – very beautiful – sand in the middle of the ocean, with a couple of bushes on it. As there are no trees on the island, you can still ride on the downwind side of the island, shaped like a horse shoe, in buttery flat water. This makes the island a good kite spot; however it is not the easiest to get to. Kitesurfing Seco Island can be done by renting a boat from a fisherman in Culasi on Panay.

Meteora from the Air

Tranquil, sacred, charming, faith, exceptional, exciting, vast, exalting, awesome. These are only some of the words people very often use in an effort to describe the Meteora phenomenon.

A trip to Meteora offers the unequaled experience of nature’s brilliance in conjunction with history, architecture and man’s everlasting desire to connect with the Divine. From the early Christian times, the Meteora vertical cliffs were regarded as the perfect place to accomplish absolute isolation, to discover peacefulness and harmony and, thus, to support man’s eternal struggle for spiritual elevation.

Why We Live in the Philippines

The Philippines is such an awesome country. It is difficult to pin point what I love about it. If I had to name a few things it would be the magnetic people and the epic scenery. I love the Philippines because of the surprisingly blessed and friendly people. Everywhere in the Philippines you will feel so welcome by the locals. It was like being part of one big family.

See what other cool bloggers say about the Philippines;

A long Day at It's Showtime with Anne Curtis sa ABSCBN and then back home with the foreigners youtube #vlogsquad Christian Leblanc and Lauren Reid who come over before leaving the Philippines. Daniel Marsh joins as we attempt to bike around Manila and fly the drone until Murphy's Law takes over. We end up sitting down at the table and conversing about how we came to the Philippines, why we came to the county, the good qualities of Filipino culture, things we love most, travel around to the many beaches, island, and everything else.

Thanks for watching.

Philippines: Batad Rice Terraces

For 2,000 years, the high rice fields of the Ifugao have followed the contours of the mountains. The fruit of knowledge handed down from one generation to the next, and the expression of sacred traditions and a delicate social balance, they have helped to create a landscape of great beauty that expresses the harmony between humankind and the environment.

The Mysterious Nazca Lines

The Nazca Lines are a series of geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in Peru. It is the largest work of art in the world!

The lines are shallow designs in the ground where the reddish pebbles that cover the surrounding landscape have been removed, revealing the whitish earth underneath. Hundreds are simple lines or geometric shapes, and more than seventy are natural or human figures. The largest are over 200 metres (660 ft) across. Scholars differ in interpreting what the lines were for but generally ascribe religious significance to them. "The geometric ones could indicate the flow of water or be connected to rituals to summon water. The spiders, birds, and plants could be fertility symbols. Other possible explanations include: irrigation schemes or giant astronomical calendars." ref: wiki

Sardinia is the Boracay of Italy

Sardinia is the Italian region with the largest coastal development; the sea is lucid and practically preserved from every kind of impurity. Many Sardinian beaches are nowadays nationally and internationally well known, as those of Villasimius, of the Costa Smeralda (the Emerald Coast) and of Alghero, which are among the favourite destinations for holidays in Sardinia. On the contrary, many other beaches, equally beautiful, have managed to maintain their wild nature subtracting themselves, in whole or in part, to mass tourism. This is the case of Berchida beach, of some of the beaches of Ogliastra and Oristano provinces. From your beach hotel you can independently move and visit the nearby beaches, or heading into the interior to explore the more remote parts of Sardinia.

BADIAN CANYONEERING (THE BEST OF THE PHILIPPINES!)

Canyoneering is an intense sport of travelling down a river situated in a canyon by a variety of means including scrambling, floating, swimming, and tripping.

Romblon Island, Is Truly Amazing

Absolutely genuine and only gently touristed, Romblon Island is the magical gem at the heart of its self-named province. A little island, it's even smaller for the visitor, as nearly everything you want to see is within a few kilometres of its main port and only significant settlement, Romblon town.

The province's relative isolation works to its favor. It is rich with unspoiled beaches and marine sanctuaries, clean lakes and waterfalls, and well-preserved forests full of fireflies. It has even maintained Spanish-era structures such as ancestral houses and centuries-old churches.

Filipinos dive into Benham Rise for the first time

Benham Rise holds tremendous potential for discovering more unique species and outstanding samples of marine resources.

According to WIKIPEDIA, The Benham Plateau, also known as the Benham Rise, is a seismically active undersea region and extinct volcanic ridge located in the Philippine Sea approximately 250 km (160 mi) east of the northern coastline ofDinapigue, Isabela.

Under the Philippine Sea lie a number of basins including the West Philippine Sea Basin, inside of which is located the Central Basin Fault (CBF). The Benham Plateau is located in the CBF and its basement probably is a micro-continent.Several scientific surveys have been made on the feature to study its nature and its impact on tectonic subduction, including one about its effects on the 1990 Luzon earthquake. The area is a territory of the Philippines which was claimed, as part of its continental shelf, which was then lodged with the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf on April 8, 2009 and was approved by theUnited Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in 2012
