Enchanted River in Hinatuan, Philippines

Have you been to Enchanted River? If not, take a look at the video below to see this hidden paradise in Hinatuan, Philippines.

Hinatuan River is located at Surigao del Sur in Mindanao. About 30 minutes from the town of Hinatuan, in barangay Cambatong.

The river is also referred to as the "Enchanted River" by many locals and tourists. While there is a common misconception nobody has been able to reach the bottom of this river, it is merely a myth. Apparently, multiple divers have reached the bottom.

The river is characterized by crystal clear water with shades of aquamarine to blue.

One of the magical moments in this river is the "feeding time" where Enchanted River Management Office feed the fish at 12 noon daily.

This is no ordinary feeding frenzy, officials will rang the bell and ask visitors clear the river, they will play the Hinatuan Hym and then school of fish will appear from nowhere.

We encourage locals to visit this magical place. There is an entrance fee of 30 pesos. Visitors can use the huts, tents, tables and chairs inside Enchanted River for picnics.
