At the Yosemite National Park, frazil ice forms from the frozen mist at upper and lower Yosemite Falls.

The beautiful formation and journey the ice takes down the creek are awesome to watch.

According to Wikipedia, Frazil ice is a collection of loose, randomly oriented needle-shaped ice crystals in water.

It resembles slush and has the appearance of being slightly oily when seen on the surface of water.
