Basilisk lizard or Jesus Christ lizard can run so fast that it can walk on water. This ability enables the lizard to run away from the predators. The name Jesus Christ was derived from it amazing ability to run on the surface of water, just like Jesus who exhibits the ‘walking in water’ miracle in the Gospels.
For a person to walk on the water, the one must run at 65 miles per hour. Basilisks are found in the tropical forest of Central America and parts of South America.
